What are TEF Canada and TEFAQ exams ?


The TEF Canada or TEFAQ are exams to attest your level in French for immigration
For each exam, you have 4 tests  (One test per skill) :

  • Reading (Written comprehension)
  • Writing (Written expression)
  • Speaking (Oral expression)
  • Listening (Oral comprehension)

What is the minimum level required to pass the exam?


To successfully pass the exam, you need to achieve at least a Level NCLC 7 for each skill
(Canadian Language Benchmarks => CLB7)
This NCL7 level corresponds to different scores depending on the skill tested

What is the validity period of the exam?


The exam is valid for 2 years.
